Egbe Omo Ilara Mokin is a socio-cultural organization that was formed in 1979 to facilitate cultural and economic development of her people. The organization has been existing for over 38 years and during this period has been able to bring about tremendous development through the cooperation and commitment of the Ilara Mokin people. This development has made the community stand out amongst others and has made their patriotism and passion for development an exemplary one worthy of emulation.

The Mokin people possess a rich cultural heritage as expressed in their language, food, dressing and most importantly their festivities including the IJESU festival which features a lot of cultural display and brings her people together both at home and in diaspora.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF EGBE ILARA MOKIN

The aim of the Egbe is to develop ILARA MOKIN through cooperation and involvement of Mokin sons and daughters in all the affairs that may affect her progress.

The Egbe Ilara Mokin Motto is PROGRESS IN UNITY.

The Objectives of the Egbe includes;

  1. Promotion of unity among all Mokins sons and daughters’
  2. Promotion and enhance the physical development ILARA-MOKIN.
  3. Promotion social, cultural and economic development of ILARA MOKIN.

Provision of a unified forum for leadership to other associations, clubs and unions set up for the progress and development of ILARA MOKIN.
